Then I noticed something interesting, which you can see in the following screenshot:Ĭore C04 would always get knocked off 100% utilization - it corresponds with CPU 7,8 in Task Manager - this would happen with only 1 8GB RAM kit and also with both 8GB ram kits - XMP on or off I even gave a bit more voltage to the processor, but still same results with both the RAM kits. Then I pulled one ram off (I checked if they are in the correct slot) and troubleshoot again with one RAM at a time, turning XMP on/off.
I tried different XMP profiles, turn XMP off, with the same results. I didn't know why, or what does it mean? So I searched the internet again, I couldn't find a similar case to mine (same set-up or troubles) so it only gave me a hint that probably either the MB, RAM or CPU could be the problem. "Worker #7 and #8 would always stop after a couple of seconds or minutes within the start" I searched the internet and discovered that prime95 is a popular program to test PC's stability, watched some videos about how it works, even found an article that questioned its capability but I decided to try it anyways. I was getting BSOD while gaming, just surfing the internet or even in idle so I decided I need to troubleshoot and find out what is causing the trouble. "The PC isn't stable on default settings with XMP turned on or off" So I decided to troubleshoot because I would get BSOD, always with a different message. I noticed the system wasn't very stable, I would get an occasional BSOD, I tried to let the PC turned on for 2-3 days to access it remotely, but it BSOD after a few hours and I couldn't access it. Because there weren't many reviews of the motherboards in that time, I just picked it kind of randomly, after a few months the reviews came out and it turned out that my MB wasn't a very good choice - but hey, for a 65W 3600 I think it should be more than sufficient.
I had some issues that came with 3rd gen Ryzen such as high voltage in idle, high voltage in general, etc. So I built this PC about a half year ago, just when Zen 2 came out.
