Fighting with the viewing angles while trying to make a trip across the map can be frustrating, hopefully they can improve it through upcoming patches. The camera wasn't perfect in the original by any stretch, but it's quite a bit worse this time around. The caked up mud on the wheels looks great and how I would expect, and pushing through a river and having all of the mud drop off temporarily til the next mud patch is very satisfying. The game looks good for what it is, I liked the look of the original Spintires a lot as well, what it's maybe missing in individual texture work, it makes up for in how objects interact with each other in the world. Initial thoughts: The game runs really well for me on my 1070, even at 4k, I'm getting a pretty consistently 50-60fps. As a fan of the original, both watching random multiplayer server streams on Steam and also just puttering around in the game myself, hauling everything but ass, I immediately pre-ordered this at half price when it was announced, and suddenly realized last night that it's actually out, so I fired it up for a bit between handing out candy.
